The Grand Canyon Haunted area around Ninety-four Mile Creek and Trinity Creek has many places that have Egyptian and Hindu names such as the Cheops Pyramid, Tower of Set, Tower of Ra, Horus Temple, Osiris Temple, and Vishnu Temple. These names indicate a relationship between these places and the alleged Egyptian discoveries in the Grand Canyon?

Regardless of whether or not these tales of lost underground cities in the Grand Canyon are true, the area does feature a number of excellent climbs including Cheops Plateau and Cheops Pyramid, named for an Egyptian pharaoh.
I would not mind going to see the Great Pyramids, but I have no idea what you can see. I doubt that they allow people to get really close, and if one were allowed to go inside I would probably find it to be a bit claustrophobic. I say claustrophob.
The field around Ninety-four Mile Creek and Trinity Creek had areas named after Egyptian gods like Tower of Ra, Tower of Set, Osiris Temple, Horus Temple or Isis Temple. Also, the Haunted Canyon area had some unfamiliar places on the map, such as the Cheops Pyramid, the Buddha Cloister, Buddha Temple, Shiva Temple and Manu Temple.
Oct 17, 2016 - A hypothesis that many structures in the Grand Canyon area that look like natural formations are actually ancient human structues that have been eroded. An ariel view does show that these structures do have a layout that resembles the Orion constellation. Many structures have Egyptian names. We know that Egyptians were fascinated by Orion and ancient egyptian artifacts were.
Above right, further towards the north and further up the base of Cheops Pyramid are brilliant orange outcrops of the Hakatai, which are striking and highly visible features viewed by millions annually from miles away on the South Rim in the general vicinity of Grand Canyon Village and nearby outlooks.
Cheops Pyramid The Bright Angel area is also close to the starting point for one of the major trails that go from the rim down to the Colorado River. The Bright Angel trail travels down the side of the canyon to meet up with the Kaibab Trail at the bottom.
